Join me tonight for a look at the CAM LINK video Capture Device compared to the ATEM EXTREME SIde by SIde. Both capture video from a DSLR so how do they compare. Is the CAM LINK by Elgato a viable way to capture high quality video for todays Live Streams, Video Conferences, and recording videos for Social Media uploads? With tools like OBS, Stream Yard, EVMUX, Prism Live and vMIX. Just to name a few. All of these choices are available for PC and some on MAC. Why a CAM LINK then. Well if you just want a single view using a DSLR or other quality camera or camcorder then having a tool to convert HDMI into USB computer video is a perfect tool. You computer and software then can record/Encode/Stream. Just make sure your computer can handle all that you are thowing at it.
